Our Story

Heartland Defense Solutions was founded by a brother of a veteran who recognized a persistent disconnect between the needs of operators in the field and the products available through traditional defense channels. Too often, the best solutions never reach the warfighter — lost in procurement complexity, unfamiliar acquisition pathways, or simply unknown to the units that need them most.

We set out to change that. Based in Peru, Indiana, HDS operates as a lean, mission-focused team with direct relationships across the defense supply chain — from small domestic manufacturers to established prime contractors. We specialize in identifying, qualifying, and delivering niche capability solutions across equipment, shelter, mobility, and emerging technology domains.
